Peer support is help from someone with lived experience. At Loyal’s, we meet with you, build a plan, and stay with you until it’s done. It isn’t therapy. It’s a real person in your corner.
What working with us looks like
Every person is different, so every plan is too. A typical week might include:
- Coffee and a talk about what matters most to you right now
- Getting ready for the DMV or the Social Security office, with every document in order
- Sitting with you while you fill out a job or housing application
- A check-in text before a hard appointment
- A sober BBQ or bowling night with people who get it
We meet where it’s easy for you: a shelter, a park, a coffee shop, your porch, or community corrections. You don’t need to come to an office.
You set the goals. We help you reach them and hold you accountable, because we believe in where you’re headed.
Questions people ask
Is peer support the same as therapy?
No. Peer support is non-clinical. We don’t diagnose or provide therapy. If you want counseling, we’ll help you find the right fit.
Do I have to be sober to get help?
No. You don’t have to have it all together to call us. We meet you where you are.
What does it cost?
No cost to clients, depending on service. Reach out for more information.
Is it confidential?
Yes. What you share stays with us. We only talk to family, your PO, or a program if you say it’s okay.
How is this different from case management?
Case management often ends with a referral. We stay involved until the goal is met. We still work with your case manager if you have one.
